Winter Storage — North Country Cold Storage, Berlin NH

Winter Season · October 15 – April 30

Five ways to put it away

Indoor brick, covered bays, dedicated powersports rooms, trailhead parking and gated yard. Pick the one that matches what you're storing and how often you need it.

01 — Indoor

The brick building

12,500 square feet of enclosed storage in a building put up as The Motor Mart Inc. and used for vehicles ever since. Dry, dark, out of the weather, behind a locked door. This is where the cars that get covers at home should be.

Best forCollector and classic cars · daily drivers · trucks and SUVs · motorcycles · anything you'd rather not scrape in April

Car$80 / $70
Truck or SUV$90 / $80
Motorcycle$65 / $60
Small trailer$95 / $85
16 ft and over$7.00 / $6.00 per ft

Monthly / paid in full. Add Active Access for $15 a month to park aisle-adjacent with unlimited in-and-out.

02 — Carport

Sixteen covered bays

Roof overhead, open sides. Keeps snow off the deck and ice off the cover without the indoor price. For a boat on a trailer or a truck you don't need to look at until spring, this is usually the right call.

Best forBoats and trailers · pickups · second vehicles · campers under 16 ft

Car$70 / $60
Truck or SUV$80 / $70
Small trailer$85 / $75
16 ft and over$5.00 / $4.25 per ft

Monthly / paid in full. A 24 ft boat and trailer runs $102 a month paid in full, $663 for the season.

03 — Powersports Rooms

Sleds, quads, side-by-sides

Dedicated indoor rooms rather than floor space borrowed from the car bay. Two ways in: packed away until the season's over, or parked up front where you can pull it out any weekend you want to ride.

Best forSnowmobiles · ATVs · UTVs · dirt bikes · machines coming off a trailer

Sled room — packed$65 / $60
Sled room — in & out$85 / $75
ATV$75 / $65
UTV / side-by-side$95 / $85
Dirt bike$55 / $50

Monthly / paid in full, per machine.

04 — Trailhead

Leave the rig here

A gated spot for your loaded trailer, minutes from the trail system, with unlimited self-serve access all season. If you're driving up from southern New Hampshire or Massachusetts most weekends, this is the difference between towing every trip and just showing up.

Best forOut-of-town riders · loaded sled and ATV trailers · anyone tired of backing a trailer down their own driveway in February

Trailhead spot, per ft$4.50 / $4.00
20 ft trailer$90 / $80
Full season paid in full$520

Monthly / paid in full, by trailer length. Whatever's on the trailer rides free. Gate code access, plowed all season.

05 — Yard

Dormant outdoor

Gated open storage for the season. Your vehicle goes in and stays put until spring — the cheapest way to get something off your property when access through the winter isn't the point.

Best forProject vehicles · spare trailers · boats that are already wrapped · anything that just needs to be somewhere else

Dirt bike$40 / $35
ATV or snowmobile$50 / $45
Car$65 / $55
Truck or SUV$70 / $60
16 ft and over$3.50 / $3.00 per ft

Monthly / paid in full. Dormant storage — winter access by appointment only.

Getting to it

How often will you need it?

Most winter storage is put-it-away-and-forget-it, and that's the cheapest way to do it. If you need to get at your vehicle during the season, say so up front — it changes where we park it, not whether we'll do it.

Packed

Standardincluded

Your vehicle goes wherever it fits best. Retrieval by appointment with a few days' notice. Right for anything sitting until spring.

Active Access

+$15per month · indoor

Aisle-adjacent space, unlimited in-and-out during posted hours. Right for a vehicle you're still driving into December, or pulling out on a warm weekend.

Self-Serve

Includedtrailhead spots

Gate code, come and go, no appointment. How the trailhead spots work — that's the whole point of them.

In every agreement

What comes with it

Snow removal

Plowed through the season. You're not digging out to reach your own vehicle.

Gated, keyed access

Keyed gate with a biometric padlock. A camera system is going in this fall — we'll tell you when it's live, not before.

Scheduled drop-off

You pick a slot, we're expecting you, and your vehicle goes straight to its space. No waiting in line on the first cold Saturday.

Battery tender hook-up

$12 a month per vehicle. You supply a UL-listed tender, we plug it in and keep an eye on it. Worth it on anything sitting past January.

One point of contact

Veteran owned. The person who answers the phone is the person who parks your vehicle.

Detailing, in or out

Available during the drop-off and pickup windows, quoted per vehicle. A spring detail means your car comes out ready for the road.

Boats, RVs, campers and trailers 16 ft and over

Anything 16 feet and over is priced per linear foot rather than by category, so you pay for the space you actually take. We measure overall length at drop-off — bumper to the furthest point aft, including the outboard, swim platform and trailer tongue — and round up to the next whole foot. That measurement goes on your agreement and it's what governs billing, so there's no argument about it in April.

Proof of insurance is required for all boats, RVs and campers regardless of size. For everything else we'll ask you to tell us your coverage, or to confirm in writing that you're carrying none. We don't insure stored property — no storage facility does — and it's better that you hear that from us now than from an adjuster later.

Early drop-off opens October 1

Tell us what you're storing

Three minutes, and you'll have your agreement and your exact price back the same day. Paid in full saves 15%.
